Cordiant Capital, headquartered in Montreal, Canada, is a private capital fund with over $2 billion AUM. The telecommunications infrastructure group currently provides debt capital to middle market telecommunication infrastructure companies seeking growth capital for the next phase of development. Mr. Marshall is responsible for the strategy, investment evaluation and operational oversight for the Group.
Previously, Mr. Marshall held the position of Group Executive Vice President and President for American Tower Corporation’s US business. American Tower is a NYSE listed ~$105bn Telecoms and Broadcast Infrastructure company. The US business has over 40,000 towers, employs over 1,300 staff, generates revenues of over $3.2bn and profits of $2.4bn, and accounts for circa 65% of group profits. During his tenure, revenues and profits trebled over a 9 year period. Mr. Marshall oversaw two successful~$5bn acquisitions between 2013 and 2015 and the integration of ~$3bn of smaller acquisitions and organic investment since 2009.
Iain Gillott, the founder and president of iGR, is an acknowledged wireless and mobile industry authority and an accomplished presenter. Mr. Gillott has been involved in the wireless industry, as both a vendor and analyst, for more than 22 years. iGR was founded in 2000 in order to provide in-depth market analysis and data focused exclusively on the wireless and mobile industry. In recent years, research has expanded to cover broadband telecom services to the home, as homes and businesses have become more connected.
Before founding iGR, Mr. Gillott was a Group Vice President in IDC’s Telecommunications practice, managing IDC’s worldwide research on wireless and mobile communications and Internet access, telecom brands, residential and small business telecommunications and telecom billing services. Mr. Gillott has a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University College of North Wales, Bangor, Wales, with a concentration in hardware and software design.
